Dissociated Ammonia Gas Generator

larger image
Thermo Transfer manufactures a complete line of dissociated ammonia generators. The size of the unit varies from 150 SCFH to 8,000 SCFH. The generator provides 75% Hydrogen and 25% Nitrogen by cracking anhydrous ammonia at high temperature in presence of catalyst. The reaction itself is endothermic as it requires an external heat to maintain the temperature necessary for the reaction. This external heat can be electric or gaseous fuel. The product gas dew point is typically between -60° F to -40° F. Metallurgical grade ammonia is recommended because of high purity as feed.

FEATURES:
  • Electric heating system
  • Water cooled shell and tube type heat exchanger
  • Ceramic insulation
  • Inconel retort for longer life
  • Skid mounted unit for easy installation
  • All controls centrally located

The table below represents the most common units available, but not limited to, we are capable of building units up to 8,000 SCFH.

Each generator that Thermo Transfer builds comes equipped with an (8) eight point pre-startup and first out annunciator alarm system as a standard feature, which helps tremendously when troubleshooting your generator.
